Presentation: Managing Moderate-Scale Multi-Tenant Micro-Services @Jet.com

Track: Sponsored Solutions Track III

Location: Liberty, 8fl.

Duration: 2:55pm - 3:45pm

Day of week:

Abstract

Designing a system for deploying micro-services effortlessly and reliably can be challenging. Jet fortunately had the opportunity to work with a micro-services architecture from the beginning and have scaled from tens of services in a single geographic region to thousands across multiple locations.

Along the way, we’ve built several iterations of platform that runs these services. You’ll learn what design patterns we chose, mistakes that we made, and lessons that we learned while delivering infrastructure that can respond to change more rapidly and get ideas into production fast. We’ll also be exploring what tools and abstractions you’ll need to make the platform both useful and flexible.
